Hell yeah! For those who don't know, I'm a huge TMNT fan. If it weren't for these little green men I may have never been introduced to comics or pursued my passion for art further than 3rd grade.
There's just something about the artwork in the original Eastman and Laird books from the 80's that's so inspiring to me. It really captures the essence of New York city's gritty side and how cold of an environment it can be. Dirty roof tops, steaming man-hole covers, shitty apartments and the emotional relationship the turtles have with the city make it feel like your really there when you read these books.
Not to mention all the art work was done on, if I remember correctly it's called, duo-tone paper. A really cool method where you draw and ink normally on the art board, but instead of laying down zipatone dots you brush on two "activators" that tone the paper one of two shades of gray. Pretty cool stuff.
So I did this one a loooong time ago. Circa 1999 or 2000 before I learned how to ink "properly". This is inked with Sharpie markers and a ball point pen and gray tones with a Prismacolor marker. It's a little messy but I dig it and thought some of you might as well. I'm still really happy with some of the grey tines that I was able to get with the ball point, especially on Leo's swords and the composition feels fun to me.

Amazing! Not like all of your work isn't amazing, but in addition here such a simple pose from Leo and the others in the background ready to pounce tells so much!
